A of homobinuclear complexes of alkali metal salts of O-nitrobenzoic acid (ONBA), 8-hydroxy quinoline (8HQ), Anthranilic acid (OABA), picolinic acid (PicA) and 2-hydroxy-3-naphthoic acid (HNA) with o-hydroxy acetophenone hydrazone have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectral analysis, conductivity and magnetic measurement. The IR spectra of complexes suggest presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonding which is dominant factor for stability of these complexes.
KEYWORDS:Alkali metal complexes; Substituted hydrazones
