Potentiometric studies have been carried out on metal chelates of Pr3+, Nd3+, Gd3+ and Dy3+ with N-hydroxyethyl ethylene diamine triacetic acid (HEDTA), thiophene-2-carboxylic acid (TCA), furan-2-carboxylic acid (FCA), pyridine-2, 6-dicarboxylic acid (PDA) and phthalic acid (PA). The dissociation constants of used ligands, stability constants and free energy change have been determined by pH-titration technique at 40±1°C and at an ionic strength of 0.1 M KNO3. The relative order of stability has been observed to be Pr(III)
