Preliminary Qualitative Organic Analysis of Zornia Gibbosa Span

Zomia gibbosa is a medicinal herb. Qualitative analysis of its organic compounds was done. Steroids, triterpenes, flavonoids and amino acids were found in sufficient quantities while glycosides were found in small quantity and free reducing sugars only in traces. Saponins and alkaloids have been found totally absent.
