Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes with 6, 7, 13 14-tetramethyl,1,5,8,12-tetraazacyclotetradeca, 5, 7, 12, 14-tetraene (ligand) have been prepared and characterized by the elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass, 1H NMR, IR, electronic, and EPR spectral studies. The magnetic moment measurement of these complexes indicates that the metal ions are in high-spin state. Anti microbial activity of this ligand and its soluble transition metal complexes have been screened in vitro against several bacteria and different pathogenic fungi.
