Some newer isoxazoline derivatives were prepared by the condensation of hydroxylamine hydrochloride with various chalcones in neutral medium. The structures of new compounds were established on the basis of IR and 1HNMR spectral data and their antimicrobial activity was investigated against E. coli, S. aureus and Candida albicans. All the compounds showed mild to moderate antimicrobial activity.
