Thiadiazole having amino group have been reported to possess insecticidal, herbicidal and pesticidal properties. Other thiadiazoles have been tried as chemotherapeutics and some derivatives showed considerable promise as remedies for irections in the gastral intestinal tract. 2, 5-diamino-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole was formed in 25% yield by the action of phosphorous oxychloride on 1-carbamoyl thiosemicarbazide.
