The preparation, characterization and antifungal activities of some chromium(III) and cobalt(II) complexes of ligand having nitrogen/sulphur donor set (DPCPTSC) described. Metal complexes have been characterized by spectroscopic studies (I.R., 1H-NMR, electronic and E.S.R.). The free ligand and metal complexes have been tested in vitro against a of pathogenic fungi and were found to possess good fungicidal properties. On the basis of various physico-chemical studies on octahedral geometry is assigned for the complexes.
