Manganese(II) complexes of the type MnL2 X2 where (X=Cl-, Br- and 0.5 SO4-2, L = Ligand) have been prepared with semicarbazones and thiosemicarbazones of furfuraldehyde and thiophenealdehyde. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR, electronic and EPR spectral studies. All complexes were found to have six coordinated octahedral geometry.
