Anthranilic acid-thiourea-paraformaldehyde copolymer have been synthesised employing different feed ratios by condensation technique in acid medium. The resins were characterised on the basis of IR spectra and molecular weight measurements. Batch equilibrium method was adopted for the study of chelation ion-exchange characteristics of the copolymer for some transition metal ions and UO22+ ion over a wide range of pH and ionic strength.
