Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 4-Aryl-1-[3'-2,4"",6""-Trichlorophenoxymethyl]-5'-Mercapto-1',2',4'-Triazol-4'-Yl]-3-Chloro-2-Azetidinones"

Some new azetidinones were synthesised from their Schiff bases reacting with chloroacetylchloride. The compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antimycobacterium activity. The structures of compounds were characterized on the basis of their IR, NMR and Mass spectral data.
