Investigations of Cd(II) with L-citrulline and some bicarboxylic acids (malic, maleic and tartric) have been carried out polarographically at D.M.E. The reduction of all the complexes have been found to be reversible and diffusion controlled, involving two electrons. The formation of MXY, MXY2 and MX2Y have been identified and stability constants of such complexes have been evaluated by extending the method of Schaap and McMasters. The statistical and electrostatic effects have been discussed by using these stability constants.
