Eight diverse and newly born genotypes were tested under 3 plant densities of 3, 4, 5 and 6 lakhs plants/ha to judge their response on seed yield in soybean under rainfed condition. The high yielding genotypes viz. NRC 41, JS 335, MAUS 71 and RAUS 5 responds significantly to plant density of 6 lakhs plants/ha hence it is recommended that this plant density can be adopted in large scale to boost up the productivity of soybean in Madhya Pradesh.
