Condensation of Barbituric Aci With Aldehydes Using Potassium Chloride and K2so4 (Anhyd.) as Catalysts

The dry media condensation of barbituric acid with arylaldehydes has been carried out in presence of KCl (60-68%) and K2SO4 (anhyd.) (80-94%) catalysts under microwave irradiation.
