The title compounds, substituted N1-alkoxycarbonyl-N2-phenylureas 3a-n were synthesised by the reaction of substituted phenylureas 2a-h with dialkyl carbonate in presence of a suitable sodium alkoxide. All compounds 3a-n were found to be active against rice fungus Pyricularia oryzae at the concentration of 200 μg/ml, while only 3a and 3i were found to be active against Botrytis cinerea at a concentration of 100 μg/ml.
KEYWORDS:Substituted N'-alkoxycarbonyl-N2-phenylureas; herbicidal activity; agro-fungi
