A series of new 1,3,4 thiadiazoles have been synthesised by condensation of different aryl sulfonylchlorides or aryl acid chlorides with 2-amino-5-(a-methyl-4'-isobytylbenzyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole. The physical and spectral data of the synthesised products have been studied. The synthesised products are screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity, against bacteria such as B. megaterium, S. pyogens, E. coli, K. pneumonias and fungi S. cerevisice.
