This paper describes the synthesis, characterization and biochemical properties of several new tetraazomacrocyclic complexes of Mn(II). These new complexes were prepared by the template condensation of 3,9-dimethyl-4,8-diazaundecane-3,8-diene-2,10-dione with manganese dichloride and different primary diamines in 1:1:1 molar ratio. The octahedral geometry and mode of bonding have been concluded on the basis of elemental analyses molecular weight determinations, conductance, magnetic studies and spectral studies including IR and electronic spectral studies. All the ligands and their corresponding complexes have been screened for their fungicidal and bactericidal activity.
