Microwave Assisted Acetalisation of Carbonyl Compounds With Methanol Using Na2so4 (Anhyd.) and Mgso4 (Anhyd.) As Catalysts

The synthesis of acetals of carbonyl compounds with methanol has been carried out under microwave irradiation in presence of Na2SO4 (anhyd.) (95-99% yield) and MgSO4 (anhyd.) (94-98% yield) in a few minutes.
