A Facile Generation of Pyranopyrazoles : Synthesis of 2-Amino-3-Cyano-4,5-Dimethyl-7-N-Phenyl-4-(P-Aroylaminophenyl)-Pyrano-[2,3-D]-Pyrazoles

Starting from 4-(p-aroylaminophenyl) acetophenone (Ia-j), a new synthesis of pyranopyrazoles (II a-j) has been achieved. The structure of newly synthesized compounds was established on the basis of elemental analyses, IR and PMR and mass spectral data. Antimicrobial activity has been performed by using cup-plate method. All the synthesized compounds have shown significant antimicrobial activity.
