The (PhCH2)3 SnS2CN(C4H8O) was synthesized by the reaction of tribenzyltin chloride with morpholinyldithiocarbamates, its crystal structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The cyrstallographic data are as follows: triclinic, space group P-1, a=0.98417(16)nm, b=1.08163(19)nm, c=1.3788(2)nm, a=72.850(3)°, b=88.895(3)°, g=64.231(3)°, Z=2, V=1.2528(4)nm3, Dx=1.469g/cm3, μ=1.204 mm-1, F(000)=564, R=0.0328, wR=0.0995 (132d(1)). The structures consist of discrete molecules containing five coordinate tin atoms in a seriously distorted trigonal bipyramidal configuration. The unit cell contains two independent molecules that are practically superimposable.
