Isoxazole derivatives (IIa-j) have been synthesised by the cyclocondensation of different chalcones with hydroxylamine hydrochloride and sodium acetate. The constitution of the synthesised compounds are characterised by elemental analyses, IR, PMR and Mass spectrometry. The compounds have been screened for their invitro biological assay like antibacterial and antifungal activity.
KEYWORDS:Isoxazole derivatives, cyclocondensation and Invitro biological assay.
