Performance Evaluation of Effluent Treatment Plant of a Sugar Industry

A performance evaluation study was carried out on an effluent treatment plant (ETP) of a sugar industry to suggest the modifications in operation and maintainance facilities, for improvement of overall plant efficiency based on characterisation of composite raw waste water and determination of quality of treated waste water. The sampling and analysis of various pollution parameters at each stage of treatment were carried out to subsequently workout the efficiency of each stage.
