Viscosities and densities of 2' Hydroxy 5' Methyl-4-dimethyl-amino-chalcones; 2'-Hydroxy- 5'-Methyl-4 Methoxy-chalcone and 2' Hydroxy-5 chloro-4 Methoxy chalcones in 70% dioxane-water mixture at different concentrations have been measured at 299oK. The values of B-coeffient, relative viscosity (h,) have been deducted from viscosity and density data. From relative viscosity and density and different temperature, thermodynamic parameters enthalpy change (DH), entropy change (DS) and free energy change (DG) have been evaluated. The structure making and breaking properties of systems have been considered as measure of solute- solvent interactions.
KEYWORDS:Hydroxy; Methyl; amino-chalcones; dioxane-water
