A series of compounds O, O-dialkyl-O-[4(5), (alkyl or aryl or heteryl-thiazolyl)-phenyl]-phosphorothioates (Table -1) have been synthesized. These oomponds have been screened for their pesticidal activities against Helicoverpa armigera, also one of the compounds (entry-3) screened for the nematicidal activity against root-knot nematode, Meloidogyne Spp. extracted from tomato plants. All the synthesized compounds showed significant pesticidal activities, particularly compounds 3 and 4 exhibited 100% mortality except three entries (7,8 &10) which showed moderate activity.
KEYWORDS:heteryl-thiazolyl; phosphorothioates; Helicoverpa armigera
