A series of addition complexes of the type M(SacSac)2 L(Where M=Co(II), SacSac= dithioacetylacetonate. L=3- and 4-methyl pyridne. 2-ethylpyridine. 2,4,6-trimethyl pyridine, 2,3 and 4- aminopyridine) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of analytical data electrical conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements and spectral data. Theee adducts are paramagnetic, non-electrolytes and have square pyramidal environment.
KEYWORDS:Dithioacetylacetonate; ethylpyridine; aminopyridine
