A TLC approach based on the use of hydrated stannic oxide as stationary phase is described. The rapid separation of Malathion, Dimecron, Chloropyriphos, Monocrotophos, Dimethoate, Quinolphos, Methyldemeton was carried out using various solvent systems. The R1 values were related to the polarity of different solvents used, and to the possible interaction of these compounds with stannic oxide.
KEYWORDS:TLC; Malathion; Chloropyriphos; Monocrotophos; Dimethoate
