Chromium (Ii!) and Iron (Iii) Complexes of 3-Hydroxy Imino-1-N-Phenyl Amino Butane-1-One

Some new, stable and monomeric trivalent metal ion complexes of neutral bidentate ligand (derived from acetoacetanilide and hydroxyl amine hydrochloride) having general formulae [M(HL)2X2]X Where M=Cr(lll) and Fe(lll), HL=3-hydroxy imino-1-N-phenyl amino butane-1-one and X=CI-, Br-, N03-, NCS-, and CI04-, have been synthesised and characterized. The complexes are characterized on the basis of their analytical data, molar conductance, magnetic moment, infra red, electronic spectral data and molecular weight measurement. All complexes are ionic in nature and have octahedral/destorted octahedral configuration.
