ABSTRACT:

The ligands N-4-methyl-7-hydroxy-8-acetocoumarinyl-carbohydrazide (MHACC) and N-4- methyl-7-hydroxy-8-acetocoumarinyl thiocarbohydrazide (MHACTC) have been prepared by the Interaction of N-4-methyl-7-hydroxy-8-aceto-coumarin with carbohydrazide and thiocarbohydrazide respectively. The ligands have been characterised on the basis of elemental analysts and infrared spectral studies.
