New azo acid dyestuff containing nucleus like 4-amino-2, 4'-dichloro diphenyl ether were synthesised. The synthetic compound were characterised by elemental analysis and I.R. spectra. The dyeing properties of various textile fabrics were investigated. Acid dyes are water soluble and applied at temp, of 90-100°C on cotton, silk, nylon and wool fibres.
