Studies of Metal Nitrosyl Complexes

ABSTRACT:

The synthesis, metal-ligand bonding and reactivity of the nitrosyl complexes are complexed and varied. About the reactivity of these complexes, there are paucity of data compared to other nitrosyl derivatives. Populating electrons in the antibonding orbital cause destabilization of the bonding between matel and nitrosyl centres enhancing the reactivity of the co-ordinated NO group. Scope and development of nitrosyl chemistry are also included in the study.
