The present paper contains the investigation of electronic spectra of 3-cyano-4,6-dimethyl-2-hydroxy and 5-chloro-2,3-dihydroxy pyridines. The spectra have been recorded in the region 190 400 nm. The effect of solvents on electronic transitions is also studied and discussed.
KEYWORDS:Electronic spectra and solvent effect.
