A first derivative spectrophotometry method is proposed for simultaneous determination of binary mixtures of some aromatic aldehydes. The method is based on the reaction of aldehydes with diphenylamine in the presence of Te(lV) in hydrochloric acid media. The method allows the determination of binary mixture of aldehydes in the range of 0.20-180 mg/L. The relative standard deviations are in all instances are less than 2.24%.
