This paper is completely devoted to the analysis of the vibrational spectra of 2-phenylpyridine and 4-phenylpyridine molecules. The analysis of FTIR and Laser Raman spectra obtained have been reported on the basis of C2v point group symmetry. The assignments of tie various bands are made on the basis of the magnitude and relative intensities of the observed bands. The assignments made for the complex molecules under investigations are found to be satisfactory with the earlier work on some pyridine derivatives.
