Effect of Solvents on Electronic Transitions of Some Substituted Pyrimidines

Electronic spectra Of 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl and 2,4-dimethyl-6-hydroxy pyhmidines have been recorded in the region 200-400 nm. The effect of change of polar solvents i.e. ethanol, methanol and water on electronic transition is also explained.
