The aim of this work is to find out the most suitable and accurate instrumental neutron activation analysis (INAA) procedures to determinate the concentration of Na, La, Sm, Yb and Lu in a ceramic samples. Low gamma counting schemes have been examined and the error in each procedure was obtained. The results show that Sm and La can be determined by either method. For Na, the first method showed to be is more suitable than the second. However, results for Lu and Yb were unsatisfactory by both schemes.
KEYWORDS:instrumental; ceramic; unsatisfactory (INAA)
