Chalcone condenses with substituted aniline gives chalcone imine .This chalcone imine refluxea m DMSO-I2 -H2 SO4 system affords flavone imine. All these chalcone imine and flavone imine were tested against S. typhi. S paratyphi. P vulgaris, X. spp., F solanri and B. cinema. It is found that the flavone imine are more active than chalcone imine.
