Mixed Ligand Complex Formation of Cd2+ With L-Amino Acid and Vit. B

ABSTRACT:

Cd2+ forms 1:1:1. 1:2:1 and 1:1:2 complexes with L- amino acids and vitamin B1.The trend of stability is as L-lysine <L-onithine<L-threonine<L-serine<L-phenylglycine<L-phenylalanine<L-glutamic acid<L-as-partic acid. The order is explained on the basis of size, basicity and steric hindrance of these ligands.
