Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of 2-Hydroxy-4-Methyl-5-Chloro Acetophenone/Propiophenone Hydrazones and their Metal Complexes

2-Hydroxy-4-methyl -5-chloro acetophenone hydrazone, 2-hydroxy-4-methyl-5-chloro propiophenone hydrazone and their metal chelates have been synthesized and characterized by Elemental, IR and NMR study and screened for the antimicrobial and antifungal activities against Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas fluorescens and Aspergillus niger.
