The stability constants of complexes formed by the dyes 2-hydroxy -5-methoxy-azobenzene-2'-car boxylic acid. 2-hydroxy-5-chloro-azobenzene-2'-carboxylic acid and 2-hydroxy-5-methyl-azobenzene-2'-carboxylic acid with Zn+2 Ni+2 UO2+2, Cu+2 have been determined spectrophotometrically. These follow the Irving-William's sequence1, i.e Zn < Co < Ni < UO2+2 < Cu.
KEYWORDS:Physico-Chemical; spectrophotometrically; azobenzene-2'-carboxylic
