The preparation of sixteen new 2-aryl/arylamino-4-[5-(p-Nitrophenyl)-2-Thienyl)] thiazoles is described. The new compounds were screened for their antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negativa bacteria. The screening results indicates that compounds carrying the arylamino substituent at the 2-position are more active.
