Simultaneous Determination of D.D.T. in Effluent from Insecticides Manufacturing Industries Surrounding Govindpura Industrial Area, Bhopal

Insecticides have maximum sale followed by herbicides and pesticides. The effluents generated from an insecticides manufacturing unit were studied. The sample collected where extracted with n-hexane and subjected to develop procedure by passing the extract through Florosil column. The detection limit were 0.1 g/ml for Dichloro Diphenyl Trichloro Ethane. Recovery was more than 95% for DDT. The method is simple and sensitive.
