Neuropharmacologically Active Complexes of IB Group Metals With 7-Chloro-1,3-Dihydro-5Phenyl-2h-1, 4-Benzodiazepin-2-One-4-Oxide

Linear complexes of Ag(l) and square-planner complexes of Cu(ll) and Au(lll) with (ML2)X, (ML2X2) and (ML4)X3 stoichiometries, where X = univalent anion and L=7-chloro-1,3-dihydro-5-phenyl-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one-4-oxide have been prepared and characterized well. Neuropharmacological activity of the complexes has been studied on mice. The complexes have been found to develop similar muscle relaxant, taming, hypnotic & lethal effects with smaller doses as compared to that of the ligand (L).
