Quality of river water was monitored at three points everymonth for one year. The observed values of monitored parameters reveal that the liver water was polluted due to distillery waste and domestic sewage except near the upstream of Vidisha town (MP). During monsoon season this station also showed elevated concentration of various physico-chemical parameters studied during the course. Thus it can be concluded that fee potability pertinence of the river water it greatly reduced during the monsoon season .
