Several new disperse azo dyes were prepared by coupling diazotised 2-amino-5-nitro benzothiazole with various substituted aniline derivatives and their dyeing performance on polyester fibres were These dyes characterised by elemental analysis, IR and PMR spectra. The properties of these dyes aluated by applying them to polyester fibre.
