The effect of some organic compounds containing functional groups as C=O or S=S of heterocyclic ring AS additives on the electrodeposition of nickel powders from dilute metal solutions of some selected baths was studied. A detailed study was carried out to investigate the effect of concentration of such compounds on the cathodic polarization curves, current efficiency, X-ray diffraction and catalytic activity of the electrodeposited nickel powders. X-ray diffraction studies proved that the deposited powders were very pure and had the face centered cubic structure with the orientations (111), (200), (220), (311) and (222).
