The azo dyes of the type 1 - naphthol -2-(2'-Sulpho-4'-acetamido phenyl-azo)-6-(2'-chloro -4" arylureido)-s-triazin-6"-yl-amino)-3-Sulphonic acid have been synthesised by the condensation of 1-naphthol-6-amino-3-sulphonic acid with cyanuric chloric followed by coupling with diazotised 4-amino acetanilide-3-sulphonic acid and finally condensed with various arylurea derivatives. All the dyes were applied to viscose rayon, wool and silk and their dyeing properties were assesed.
