Mixed schiff base complexes having general formula [ML1L2H2O] where M = Cu2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+ and & L1 & L2, = Schiff bases derived from 7-formyl 8HQ and 2 amino 5 chloro Benzophenone or O-hydroxy -4 methoxy Benzophenone or O-hydroxy 4-methoxy benzonaphthone using O-toluidine and p-toluidine as primary aromatic amines have been synthesised and characterised by elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic studies. The isolated complexes have also been studied for their applications as pigments and antibacterial agents.
KEYWORDS:Mixed Schiff; Pigments; Benzonaphthone; Aromatic
