Interaction of DDt and Malathion on the Level of 5-Hydroxytryptamine [5-HT] in Rat Brain

Malathion (200 mg/kg body wt.) and DDT (50 mg/kg body wt dairy for 7 days) increased the levelĀ of 5-hydroxytryptamine significantly in rat brain. Malathion (200 mg/kg) given to animals already exposed to DDT (60 mg/ kg body wt.) induced 58.33% increase in 5-HT level.
