A New Flavanone from the Flowers of Tecoma Stans

From the methanolic fraction of the flower extract of Tecoma stans a new flavanone-7, 8-dihydroxy 4', 6-dimethoxy flavone alongwith Kaempferol have been isolated, colour tests, degradation studies, chromatographic studies and spectral analysis (UV, IR, NMR and Mass) have been used for structure elucidation.
