Stability constants of Cu (II), Zn (II), Ni (II), Co (II) and Mn (II) complexes with sulphadimidine has been determined potentiometrically at 30° and 0.01, 0.05, 0.1 and 0.2M tonic strength (KCI) by the method of Irving and Rossotti, in 50% (V/V) methanol medium. The stepwise proton-ligand and metal-ligand formation constants (log K1H and log B2) calculated using various computational methods, show the order of stability as Co ,II) > Zn (II) > Cu (II) > Ni (II) > Mn (II). The thermo dynamic parameters (Δ G, ΔH, ΔS ), can be calculated at 30° and 0.1M ionic strength.
