N, N-diaryl cresol disulphonamides (I-III) were readily obtained by condensation of o-,m-, and _p-cresol disulphonyl chlorides with the requisite amine. Alkylation of some selected disulph-onamides gave readily their N-alkyl derivatives. The insecticidal as well as bactericidal activities of the synthesized products were carried out.
